2005 Memorial Tournament Rolls in Miniature

(Dublin, Ohio - May 31, 2005)

There were no PGA Tour Players, but the excitement and festivities were every bit as important to these serious golfers.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Rolling Rock Beer, and the top quality "corporate hospitality" putting green provided by Putter's Edge Custom Putting Greens, the thrill of the Memorial Tournament came a day early to 33 contestants from all across America.

Each qualifier won tickets to the Memorial Tournament Practice Round & ProAm, which only served to increase the tension prior to their own putting competition. After several heats designed to leave only the best and luckiest putters, it came down to a three-way tie.

That's when Brian Ramsey, sporting a Cleveland Browns cap and well-worn running shoes, emerged victorious. Ramsey's combination of accuracy and gameplan won him $3,300 - awarded with the obligatory "huge novelty check" demanded by all but the most-serious professionals.

Great times were had by all, as even the losers were treated to hors d'ouerves, cold suds and the opportunity to experience a championship-speed putting green. "We chose our exclusive PAR-1™ product, a turf that rolls to the same basic stimp as the pros will use tomorrow", explained Putter's Edge founder Terry Elkin.

"It means a lot to us to have these golfers notice the quality of the turf, even when they are so heavily concentrated on their own game."

After all, that's what Putter's Edge is all about: a green for every golfer.
